OCTOBER 2025 GOLD SPOT PRICE
(US DOLLARS PER OUNCE)
October delivered another thrilling, record-breaking chapter for gold — though not without its fair share of volatility.
Gold began the period at US $3,893 / oz, with strong bullish momentum from September's extraordinary gains. As a result, by October 8th gold broke — for the first time in history — the highly symbolic US $4,000 / oz mark, just seven months after surpassing the US $3,000 / oz level.
Gold's relentless rally didn't stop there: It continued with an impressive sprint, breaking three successive all-time highs in just 12 days:
US $4,100 / oz on Oct-13,
US $4,200 / oz on Oct-15,
US $4,300 / oz on Oct-16,
and finally setting a new all-time record at US $4,378 / oz, on Oct-20th.
Such rapid gains were quickly followed by a wave of volatility, with gold retracing to consolidate at US $4,003 / oz by the end of the month. Overall, gold gained + US $110/ oz during October, equivalent to a + 3.6% return in 30 days.
